Bear Robotics Server Bots Now Running in Ten Chili's Locations

Bear Robotics Servi robot is now up and running across 10 locations across California, Texas and Florida, OttOmate has confirmed.

The Servi bot is basically an autonomous rack of trays or bins on wheels that uses lasers and cameras to drive itself around a restaurant. Servis will shuttle food, drinks and dirty dishes around so humans can spend less time carrying items and more time delivering customer service.

Bear COO Juan Higeros told us via direct message that this first batch of robots already in operation will set the stage for a larger rollout in California, Texas and Florida before expanding further across the country next year. Dubbed “RITA” as a nod to Chili’s margaritas, each location will use up to two robots and they will eventually perform food running, bussing, beverage running and even hosting.
