Chili's to Check Out Robot Delivery with Serve Robotics
Not many details yet, but it's another automation play for Brinker, which is also using drones and server robots.
The News
Serve Robotics sidewalk robots will be making deliveries for Chili’s. The story was first reported by Dallas Innovates and confirmed by The Spoon.
There aren’t any details with a Serve spokesperson only saying “We can confirm Serve is working with Brinker International to roll out robotic delivery for Chili’s customers. We will have more to share once service is launched.”
This the latest high-tech move for Chili’s and its parent company, Brinker International, which is also using drones for delivery with Flytrex and Bear Robotics’ Servi server robot.
The Story
This is the first big restaurant brand partnership for Serve Robotics. The sidewalk delivery robot company also has a partnership with Uber for food delivery in Los Angeles, but Serve spun out of Uber — so you kinda knew that partnership was in the offing.
The bigger story here is about Brinker, which doesn’t appear to be shy when it comes to adopting new technology.
