Two food robotics innovators are teaming up, as Seattle-based MOTO Pizza has signed a deal with Cibotica, which is headquartered in nearby Vancouver.
MOTO will deploy Cibotica’s Remy salad and bowl builder, starting in July, under a three year “robot as a service” agreement.
OttOmate readers will recall that Remy can produce 120 to 180 bowls per hour, while reducing food waste and labor costs. Remy also fits into MOTO’s existing prep line and workflow, where the equipment’s top will be used to add pizza toppings, while the bottom will produce automated salads. MOTO recently raised nearly $2 million, as it plans to take its Picnic Pizza Station-powered brand to the SoCal market.
