Delivers AI Launches Robot Delivery in Istanbul with Yemeksepeti
The startup is taking on rival Starship directly in Milton-Keynes, England and Helsinki, Finland.
The News
Delivers AI announced today that it is expanding its sidewalk robot delivery operations to Istanbul Turkey, beginning the first week of May.
The service will be available to the public from ten participating restaurants in a 2km radius in the city. Orders will be placed through the Yemeksepeti food delivery app. Delivers AI is starting with one robot, dubbed YEBO (YEmeksepeti BOt), before growing to ten robots in Istanbul.
Delivers AI is expanding quickly in Europe, with plans to operate in a total of 11 European cities by the end of this summer.

Literally moments after I published this week’s newsletter outlining how Starship should focus its efforts on Europe in part because there wasn’t much competition there — Delivers AI went and announced it was expanding its robot delivery to a third European city, with eight more locations to launch this summer (including two cities where Starship currently operates).
