Eyes on the Smyze. Swiss Multi-Drink Robot Launching New Kiosk, Has Served "Tens of Thousands" of Drinks

Smyze, the Switzerland-based startup that makes an autonomous beverage kiosk, is launching what its called version 1.5 of its robot, the company shared recently with OttOmate. The company, which currently has kiosks live in three locations, said it is launching in two new locations this month and should have as many as six sites up and running by the end of the year.
Unlike other robot baristas like Costa Coffee (formerly Briggo), Cafe X and Broobee, Smyze was built from the ground up to make an assortment of different coffee, soda and juice-based drinks. This gives the robot more flexibility to serve drinks throughout different dayparts (coffee in the morning, mocktails in the afternoon/evening).
Daniel Adamec, Managing Director of Smyze told me by video chat recently that the changes to the robot are more iteration than revelation. Adamec said improvements include a more optimized overall design, a better drink delivery system, a new drink stirring feature, and more drink variety.
