Airborne food delivery provider Flytrex just became the first drone operator to achieve 100,000 commercial deliveries in the United States. The startup, which is live in four towns across North Carolina and Texas, reports that 70% of the households in its service area have now made use of the service.
Flytrex credits that success to partnerships with beloved brands like Jersey Mike’s Subs and Little Caesars. “Partnering with Flytrex, our fans can enjoy our authentic, fresh sliced/fresh grilled sub sandwiches how and when they want them,” adds Scott Scherer, CIO, Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems. Flytrex’s aerial deliveries average just four and half minutes, a good one third the amount of time an order could take to arrive by car.
Ottomate caught up with Yariv Bash, Flytrex’s CEO, for more insights on this milestone, as well as thoughts on the company’s expansion plans and regulatory constraints.
