Juxta’s AI C-Store Heads to Texas
Autonomous shopping tech provider Jexta is heading to the Lonestar State, as the upstart has signed a contract with Urban Value Corner Store (UVCS.) Shoppers scan a payment card to enter the stores, which average about 1,000-1,400 square feet, and will soon be located on the ground floor of high-end apartment complexes around Dallas-Fort Worth.
Serve Begins Trading Shares OTC, Hopes for Nasdaq
Delivery bot pioneer Serve Robotics started trading its common stock on March 7th, a bit over half a year after first announcing the move. The company’s stock is trading on the OTCQB® Venture Market, under the ticker symbol SBOT. While the company listed its stock at $25 per share, as of publication it sits at about $5.32.
Because persistence is the mother of success, this morning the company also filed that it intends to list on the Nasdaq, hoping to raise $46 million under the symbol SERV. The company notes in its prospectus that it has over 100 robots and has completed 50,000+ deliveries, and has a deal in place with auto manufacturing giant Magna. Also of note is that while the company raised $5 million in debt on February 23rd, Serve continues to burn $1.7 million per month.
Robotics Startups Haul in $578M in January
Robotics funding was off to a decent start at the beginning of the year, with the industry raising $578 million in January, up 11% from the year prior. Topping the list, 1X Technologies raised $100M for its humanoids, while Bluewhite secured $39M, Burro grabbed $24M and Saga scored $11.5M for autonomous farming.
