The News

  • Spanish startup MiFood has developed a robotic system to harvest fruits and more. The system uses a combination of computer vision and artificial intelligence (AI) to identify plants ready for harvest, along with an articulating arm with snippers and grippers to pluck them.

  • The company says its robot systems can help famers overcome labor and environmental issues associated with existing farming methods.

  • MiFood’s robot is already working on farms in Spain and Poland, harvesting strawberries, grapes and apples.

The Story
