RoboBurger is an Autonomous Burger Restaurant in a Box
The company announced the first installation of its next-gen machine today.
There are plenty of smart vending machines that will sell you pizza. And there are quite a few restaurants-in-a-box that will make you bowl foods. But RoboBurger is the first self-contained kiosk we’ve seen that will grill you up a burger.
RoboBurger is different from Flippy (which doesn’t really grill burgers much any more), and the (delicious) burger making robot at the center of Creator in the Bay Area. RoboBurger stands alone because, well, it’s a standalone kiosk that cooks burgers (not reheating!) on-demand on the spot. No restaurant needed.
Given that Americans eat roughly 50 billion burgers a year, RoboBurger seems to be debuting the right technology at the right time, as today it installed the first of its next-generation machines for the public.
