Separate announcements from Domino’s Pizza in Australia and Chargpoint and Gatik here in the U.S. highlight how companies are planning now for their autonomous future.
Domino’s signed a deal with Macquarie Telecom to upgrade the pizza chain’s network across its 720 locations in Australia. ZDNet writes that by improving its network, Domino’s is laying the groundwork for drone pizza delivery Down Under.
Here in the U.S. electric vehicle charging company Chargepoint and autonomous middle mile delivery truck startup Gatik announced today a strategic partnership to develop an electric ecosystem for autonomous vehicles.
The Story
While these two stories are literally coming from opposite ends of the globe, they tell the same story. Companies aren’t just thinking about adoption of autonomous technology, they are actively planning for a future filled with it.
