Starship Expands, Offers Robot Grocery Delivery from Lucky California
The deal builds on existing partnership with Save Mart Companies.
The News
Starship announced today that its robots is now delivering groceries from Lucky California’s flagship store in Pleasanton, California.
The deal expands the relationship between Starship and Save Mart Companies. Starship began delivering groceris for Save Mart in Modesto, California in September of 2020.
The move comes just weeks after Starship raised €50M, and just a day after Kiwibot announced it was moving aggressively onto college campuses, where Starship has focused much of its efforts in the U.S.

The Story
There are actually three stories wrapped up in Starship’s announcement today. The first is that robot delivery has gone well enough over the past two years in Modesto that Save Mart wants to expand its relationship with Starship to Pleasanton.
