Tortoice (←See What I Did There?)
We’ve seen plenty of robots on wheels, but Tortoise’s robot may need to get fitted for a pair of ice skates. Tortoise Co-Founder and CEO Dmitry Shevelenko posted to Linkedin this week that his company’s delivery mobile commerce robot is now vending at Washington Capitals games (that’s hockey).

It's been an absolute blast working with the Washington Capitals and Aramark Sports + Entertainment to bring their Tortoise mobile vending robot to life in record time. One week from our 1st meeting and our inaugural NHL playoff deployment. Reinventing what it means to move like a Tortoise :) So much more to come.... Go Caps!
The deal has one Tortoise bot selling two type of pastries (a tart box for $18 and a mixed box of goodies for $22) from a local D.C. vendor called Ted’s Tarts.
Listen, this isn’t the biggest news of the week, but it reinforces a couple of things we’re watching here at OttOmate.
