Richtech Opens Las Vegas Cafe
Richtech Robotics has opened a Las Vegas, NV cafe, with the launch of “Clouffee & Tea,” also known as “Cloutea” (two odd names for the price of one!) Located about one mile south of the Las Vegas Strip, the cafe features Richtech’s robotic barista, ADAM, whipping up coffee, tea and boba drinks, with customers able to place orders verbally.


Instacart Smart Carts Land at Cole’s
Instacart’s smart Caper Carts are now live in Australia, just three months after the deal was first announced. This partnership with Coles is Instacart’s first deployment in APAC. Each cart is equipped with AI, cameras and a built-in scale to automatically recognized items placed in its basket. Coles has over 1,800 locations across Australia, but is initially taking these Caper Carts live in Melbourne.
Swiss Mile Rebrands to RIVR
Zurich, Switzerland-based Swiss Mile has a new moniker: RIVR. Started as a university spin-off project at ETH Zurich, last year RIVR raised $22 million, in a round co-led by Jeff Bezos. The company’s unique hardware combines wheels and legs, which the startup uses to deliver packages for logistics partners.
Kiwibot Hosts New Ad Campaign, Hires CBO
Delivery robotics startup Kiwibot is making the most of its recent tie-up with OOH advertising firm Nickelytics, as it hosted a new ad campaign for Cracker Barrel, deploying a handful of robots near the Caesers Superdome to tap into Super Bowl foot traffic. Kiwibot also named J. Kim Fennell as its new Chief Business Officer; Fennell has been on the company’s advisory board since 2020 and previously served as Head of Business Development US & Canada and Global Technology Partnerships at Uber.
