Teraki Brings Data Analysis to Self-Driving Delivery Robots
The Germany-based startup has a number of pilots with food delivery services in Europe.
One of the things that illustrates how the robot delivery market is maturing is that we are seeing specialization. Goodyear is making specific tires for delivery robots. Intermode only makes robot hardware to be leased out to other services. And over in Germany, a company called TERAKI is developing autonomous driving software for vehicles, with an initial focus on food delivery robots.
Last week, TERAKI and Foodora announced they were bringing autonomous robot food delivery to Stockholm, Sweden in the coming months (tusen tack, The Robot Report for the heads up!).
Though TERAKI developed this robot, it’s focus is on autonomous driving software. The company is using its roots in quantum computing as well as advanced data analysis to make self-driving robots cheaper and better aware of their surroundings.
